Bernie Mac Hospitalized
Bernie Mac has been hospitalized with Pneumonia at a hospital in Chicago, merely is expected to be released before long, his publicist confirmed on Friday.
"Mr. Mac is responding well to treatment and will be released shortly," the actor's rep Danica Smith aforesaid in a statement.
The 50-year-old comedian suffered from sarcoidosis, a tissue inflamation, but his rep said his illness has been in remission since 2005 and that the Pneumonia has nothing to do with it.
"He asked that his privacy and that of his phratry is well-thought-of while he gets easily," she said.
A native of Chicago, The Oceans Thirteen star is also known for his role on the Fox show The Bernie Mac Show that ran from 2001-2006 and for which he was nominated for two Emmys and deuce Golden Globes for his performances.
